This is a coffee farmer owned company from 2010 and started processing their Coffees in 2013 at our wet mill “KAZIBAZIBA Coffee Washing station”

Duhorerabarimyi as chosen name of their cooperative, means “Relieve of coffee farmers “while KAZIBAZIBA is a name of the hill where the CWS is built.

Motivations behind the creation of the cooperative and building of processing unit were to:

• Increase revenue of coffee farmers via direct access of Market
• Develop extensive services to coffee farming.

To make our dreams true, the cooperative adhered in the Union of the cooperatives of coffee growers known as COCOCA’ 2014 because it was not easy to meet all requirements of buyers (especially volumes of export) being alone. At the moment our cooperative counts 208 active members among them 187 are men and 21 women and other 860 nonmembers coffee farmers who appreciate the initiative of pioneers and all of them deliver their coffee cherries to our washing station.

In 2017 Duhorerabarimyi Cooperative got Fairtrade certified (FLO ID: 33491) in the group certification of COCOCA Union (FLO ID30308)
