Description

History of the farm

Sítio dos Estouros is a fifth-generation farm, run jointly by produce José Mauro Miranda and his son, Luiz Mauro Araújo Miranda. The farm is beside a river with a beautiful waterfall, surrounded by riparian forests and several springs and borders the Serra do Brigadeiro State Park. The temperature in the region varies from 18° to 22°C and the coffee trees planted together with Australian cedar. The property is run under an agricultural partnership. All partners are literate, guaranteed schooling and a dignified life for themselves and their children, made possible through training and aggregation of value to the coffee.

Coffee processing system

The harvest is done by hand, with the goal of generating jobs. After being picked, the coffee is washed and passes through the huller. The water used in this phase is completely recycled with the use of a settling tank. Next the beans are dried on cement patios or African beds. Then they are separated according to quality. After drying the lots are kept separate in rest boxes and are stored on the farm itself.

Concern about quality

As a philosophy, the owner takes pride in the commendable dedication and technical training of all those involved in producing the high-quality coffee. The farm has won awards in several competitions at the state and national levels for the excellence of its coffee, resulting from responsible technical management that is sensitive to social and environmental matters.
