Description

The farm LA PUMA ROSA get its name because originally the mountain where is located was
surrounded by rose apple trees. Nowadays we are cultivating mainly CATURRA and have some
PACHE and BOURBON trees, this coffee trees are 6 years old. My vision around coffee
production has change dramatically since the beginning because now I understand how the
quality can be a characteristic that make the coffee, we produce more sustainable.

Since I was born my family and parents cultivated coffee, so from a young age I have been
helping in all the farm activities my parents did. Now I remember the farm my parents had was
really good and produce a great amount of coffee, but the situation back then made the
quality to be low because the time it took by horse to move the coffee to the mill was
sometimes with good weather 5 to 6 hours. With the past of the years e have formed the
cooperative CENFROCAFE, and started to make possible the process of the coffee closer than
before, even in our own farms now, which make easier to control the factors to obtain a quality coffee.
