Nareware Chemba - Ethiopia 2020 Verified listing

Nareware Tinba is a coffee producer in Sidama zone, Bona woreda, Bare kebele, Shafami village, SNNPR. He started coffee farming in 2013 and currently produces up to 3,500 kilograms of dried coffee variety 74158 annually. Nareware knows that he produces quality coffee. However, he is often frustrated by the low prices of the local market.

In this year’s Cup of Excellence, Nareware’s coffee ranked 11th, scoring 88.75 points. “I am so happy that my long-awaited dream is coming true,” he said. He learned about the Cup of Excellence competition when he participated in the awareness creation workshops.

“I know my coffee will be auctioned and that I will be recognized by coffee lovers,” said Nareware. He hopes this new market opportunity will support his dream of increased production and expand processing capacity.
