El Jericó, 86.63 - Honduras 2021

Marco Tulio Aguilar Mejía is the owner of Finca El Jericó, located 1200 meters above sea level, in the village of El Modelo, Municipality of San Nicolás, Department of Copán. Marco Tulio, represents the second generation of producers.
He manages his farm along with his wife and four children
He currently employs three people permanently and approximately 20 people at harvest time, and produces the coffee varieties of Lempira and Catimor. In this edition he decided to participate with Parainema for the good quality and cup performance.
He is grateful with the work and guidance of the IHCAFE technicians that provide the proper knowledge to better practices as well as maintaining the environment of his farm, using organic products to fertilize, pest control and other diseases.

“I decided to participate in the Cup of Excellence, because I consider that it is a window to be present in the demanding coffee industry. I am honored and satisfied and it is an opportunity to share with my family. I hope to get a good buyer and I hope to take this opportunity to achieve my first export. I know that it is a huge project and that it allows us to measure and compare our dedication and extra attention we give to our farms”
