Miramundo is owned by Javier Fernández and is located in Pueblo Nuevo Viñas, Santa Rosa and it is managed Luis Pedro Zelaya since 2018. This farm has an area of 315 hectares, but coffee land is strictly 28 hectares. The main varieties are Bourbon, Caturra and Catuaí. The agricultural management is rigorous: it includes tissue management (pruning and suckering), plant nutrition (soil and foliar analysis), pest and disease control and strict shade management.
The cherries are processed at Santa Ana farm, due to the lack of infrastructure in the farm. Then the parchment is brought to Bella Vista to do the dry mill. The parchment from the coffee is removed and then the green beans are separated by size and weight. The coffee is picked by an electronic classifier machine, which removes all the damaged beans by using a color scale. Finally, the coffee is ready to be exported.
