Description

It takes its name from the farm "La Hacienda" because it was the first lot that was planted with coffee around the farm house.
This farm is located in the high mountains of the Buena Vista del Peñón Jalapa community. The climate is cool and since it is located at an altitude of 1,500 meters above sea level, the temperature has an average of 20 degrees Celsius; there is abundant water within the property, it is an optimal place to produce specialty coffee.
Our family integrated by María María Dolores Rodríguez López, my husband Carlos Alberto Cruz López, my children Carlos Fernando Cruz Rodríguez and Gabriela Gissell Cruz Rodríguez, bought La Hacienda Farm in 2013. In this our family and a team of collaborators work year after year; We make a work plan that includes: weed control, fertilization, tissue management, shade regulation, among others.
On the farm we apply technology with the motto "A greener planet in the production of coffee with inputs and chemical products that are friendly to Nature".
Finca "La Hacienda" takes environmental protection very seriously, highlighting good agricultural practices and sustainable management of coffee plantations. The harvest begins in the month of December and ends in the month of April. Around 20 to 25 collaborators are hired to collect the harvest.
Our family and collaborators are committed to improving the different coffee processes every day and improving our production unit, which is the farm, continuing to plant special coffee varieties, improving productivity and income.
Contributing to providing better conditions to employees, good structure, better salaries, acquisition of better equipment and work tools to improve and expedite work on the farm.
Our humble family and collaborators are striving every day, and thus achieve great steps to improve the quality of specialty coffee from Nicaragua.
We thank God and all those involved in improving our coffee farming, especially the buyers of our coffee.
