My story with coffee began in the mountains of Dipilto and Mozonte. My name is Mario Danilo Gonzalez Valdez, and since 2009, I have dedicated my life to producing high-altitude coffee at my farm, El Avión—a place blessed by its climate, its soil, and the mist that embraces every coffee plantation. To me, coffee is not just a crop; it is the daily effort of a family working with passion to offer a cup that represents the very best of Nicaragua. Every bean I produce carries dedication, experience, and the pride of our coffee-growing roots.
What makes my coffee special is the care it receives year-round, from farm management to processing at the mill. It all starts with a proper harvest, careful selection, and practices that guarantee quality at every stage. Thanks to the altitude of our farms and the favorable natural conditions, we achieve coffees with unique and excellent profiles. This dedication has allowed me to participate six times in the "Cup of Excellence," even winning first place in 2022 for the best coffee in Nicaragua—a recognition that opened doors for our coffee across many countries and continents.
When someone buys my coffee, they are not just purchasing a high-quality beverage; they are acquiring the story of a coffee-farming family that believes in honest work and the potential of Nicaraguan coffee. My children and grandchildren are part of this effort, helping to keep alive a tradition that has given us so much. Thanks to the support of CONATRADEC, we have been able to showcase our work both nationally and internationally, proving that we produce world-class coffee in Nicaragua. My greatest motivation is to continue sharing a coffee with the world that represents excellence, tradition, a family working together, and the true flavor of our mountains.
