Description

Los Trios HistoryDavid Yanahuaya joined forces with his neighbors, Grover Huallpa Condori and Natividad Cauna de Condori to participate in the Cup of Excellence. David is the proud father of five children, who has worked in coffee for more than twenty years since he arrived in the Yungas. He married and started a family and the coffee crop sent his children to school to give them a brighter future. All his sacrifice is bearing fruit. The two oldest are studying at San Andres University in La Paz (in Spanish, Universidad Mayor de San Andres). One studies medicine and the other is about to graduate with a degree in business management. The third has just finished high school, and the two youngest are studying in the school in Taipiplaya. ”I arrived from the altiplano because there wasn’t any more land to cultivate. Every year we divided my parent’s land and we only had a tiny piece. That’s why I came here. I was just a kid when I got here, and I found a piece of land. I worked hard. Then I found a wife and I started my family.” David’s family has always been his priority. What he earns in the auction, he will use for them. “For my family, to maintain them. I work for them. I want to support them because they are studying. I want to improve my coffee and support my family.”
