Description

El Faro This farm is located in the mist of the mountains of Fraijanes, a town in the Department of Guatemala , a traditionally coffee producing region, 1500 to 2000 meters above sea level, with temperatures of 18° to 23°C. Several generations have carefully cultivated type Bourbón and Typica coffee, shaded by centennial trees, wish to preserve the existing flora and fauna. In this region it is common to see thick fog descending from the mountain, covering the coffee plantations and the forest with a dense mist, and this, accompanied by the singing of the birds, contribute to fill this place with a magical atmosphere. In the middle of the farm there is an extraordinarily large stone which you can easily assume is a sitting bull, gazing at the sun as it disappears in the horizon. Some areas, where coffee already existed, are being replenished taking care of and conserving the forest and it’s orchids, moss and natural botanic species, thereby guaranteeing the microclimate adequate for our varieties of coffee. We are improving the entire plantation retaining the appropriate environment necessary for the natural development of the plants, taking into consideration the responsibility of always obtaining a better quality organic grain, and also taking care in the processing of the product to satisfy the good taste of our valued consumers. Our wish is to contribute to this country’s coffee production and thereby promoting the recognition of the magnificent quality of Guatemala ’s coffee.
