Name and Location of the Farm: 

The farm Buenos Aires is located in the Community of Buenos Aires, in the Municipality of Dipilto, at 2 km west of the border crossing at Las Manos.

The farm is located at an average altitude of 1,350 mosl, with land planted in bends helping to soil conservation, soils are sand francs, very accessible, and we cultivate different varieties of coffee: Maracaturra. Maragogype, Caturra, Catuai, Villa Sarchi and Java.

We have a variety of shade trees, obtaining 60% of its shadow, an annual rainfall of 1,460 mm approximately, and average temperature of 22 ° C providing micro clime producing excellent weather for quality coffee.

Tell us The Farm History: 

This is a Legacy from my maternal grandmother who inherited me over 55 years ago a small plot of land, I established coffee variety of Maracaturra; then I bought more land with the passage of time, I managed to have what is now Buenos Aires farm with an area of 75 Apples of land, with output of 1,850 Quintals, We cultivate Varieties Maracaturra, Maragogype, Caturra, Villa Sarchi, Catuai and Java.

Family Generations: 

My family consists of 5 members; me, my wife and my children.

What is your secret for winning the competition?

Firstly thank God, who has blessed us and given us the opportunity that Cafetalera Buenos Aires have a staff working in team efforts, with interest and vision based on the continuous improvement of our coffees; both on the farm, Benefit Wet and Dry.

How do you feel to have been a winner?

Very happy, thank God, is recognition to the work, effort, dedication and research in all processes always, to improve the quality of our coffee.

What do you think about the Cup of Excellence?

It is a Competition wherein we the producers, have the opportunity to Promote our coffee, make it known to the world and an encouragement to continue improving coffee quality and the lives of families Producers.
