Franco was born on February 11th of 1942in  Buesaco municipality, in Narino department, he is 68 years old, dedicate for about 30 years to coffee, always looking for excellent coffee showing this results in several finals of Cup of Excel lent’s  competitions. He is recognized as a humble, entrepreneur and leader inside his community.  Always paying attention to the recommendations and adjustments to get better at his farms in all programs that he is running to get benefits for his own but also for the families that part of his community. He is an active member of the Cooperative of Coffee Growers of Western Narino. “La Mina” farm, propriety of Mr. Franco Lopez is locate in an elevation of 2100 meters over above the sea level, localization that makes this area rich in natural forest and water resources. At the low parts of the farm there is a river “Ijagui river” that born in the high land “Bordoncillo” which is being protected, maintaining the mission of the living with the ecosystems of the farm and the nature of the production of coffee, also providing good conditions to all the workers that depend of the coffee labor from the farm.
