Conservation and environmental features (mountains, ecological reserves, flora, fauna, etc.): It belongs to the mountain massif of Camapara Congolon, considered in HWC (Honduran Western Coffees Geographic Indication). In my farm there are trees such as lesquin, Matasano, Guamo, fruit trees as orange-lemon and lime, there are animals like birds, possums, and deer. There are also springs of water. Indigenous communities or associations: Lenca Historical contribution of the region: An incredible potential in history because coffee is a traditional product of the area and its harvesting helps the economy of the families and the community. Harvesting Practices: Manually with family and hired hand labor. As the farm begins: Without any expectation, I planted the coffee. Over time, I soon realized the importance and the generation of currency that producing coffee gave me. I started with four lots, which is equivalent to 1000 coffee plants. What do you think is the secret of your success? It starts at the beginning; the planting, then the best fertilization and an optimal management of the mill. How does it feel to be a winner in the Cup of Excellence? I feel privileged to be one of the participants of the Cup of Excellence project.
