Guayabo - Colombia South 2012 Verified listing

I was born in the path of “Pompeya” located in the municipality of “Tablon de Gomez” on September 2nd of 1967. I shared my whole childhood with my mother Edelmira Santacruz and with my stepfather Manuel Santacruz, from whom I learned the habit of work and the love for land, growing wheat, beans and corn.
Six years ago I decided to move to the municipality of “Buesaco” with the company of my wife Claudia Milena Portillo and as a result of my job and constancy, we bought a coffee farm of 5 hectares and since then I have been producing very good coffee. In “Buesaco” were born my two children, Andrea Carolina and David Amelio of 5 and 1 years, respectively.
In my farm I have 23.000 coffee trees, from which 11.000 are Caturra variety and 12.000 are Castillo variety, with an average age of 4 years old.
My biggest dream and desire is to continue improving the processes to produce high quality coffee, getting advantage of the environmental supply of this beautiful municipality and in this way increase my incomes and provide a better life for my family and for the region where we live.
On 2012 I decided to participate on the cup of excellence reaching the 10th place and my dream is to be always the first one, doing things in the right way and constantly improving.
