Description
Overview
Our family is very aware of the privilege that is to be dedicating our enthusiasm and effort to the coffee legacy, which has been a patrimony for our country and has allow us to grow through the heritage of families like ours all along Costa Rica s history. The coffee business is a passion for us, every day we try to improve and achieve new goals. We understand that to obtain constant success in coffee you need to invest time and a lot of effort.
La Cumbre de Dota farm is part of our land, which has a great advantage since it is located between the mountains of Dota and Tarrazu, set at 1850-1900 meters above sea level. This is obviously a great attribute producing a specialty coffee of the highest quality. The farm has 2 hectares of land, which has been part of our family for some years now inherited by our father from his father and now part of our coffee legacy.
This land has also a special meaning to us since it is located on the district where our ancestors lived and we would like for this to go beyond generations and remembering it as the farm that allow us to win our first Cup of Excellence award in 2011. The milling process is done at Bajo del Rio Mill and it is a semi-washed coffee, with mechanical desmucilage. Our coffee is 100% sun dried which allows us to highlight the great qualities of the coffee.
