KINUNU CWS is located in Boneza Sector, Rutsiro District, and Western Province at a very high altitude. The CWS started in 2005 and since has been working closely with coffee farmers’ cooperatives including COPROCEKI, IMBARUTSO Y’AMAJYAMBERE and ABAHUZAMUGAMBI who are the main supply of cherries to CWS with nearly 70 ha in addition to nearly 10 ha of the CWS extended in two sectors Boneza and Musasa sectors. 30% of all members are women and therest are men. The CWS is owned by KZNOIR. Kinunu CWS has been awarded two times national award in 2008, 2010 consecutively and for the first time has won CoE completion (2012) as a result of hard work and improvement in quality.
