Description

History:

Near the 1880 is known "Finca de Los Luna" being Doña Joaquina Larreynaga the owner located in Santa Tecla. Andres Narvaez tells us, currently Bello Horizonte property manager and great-grandson of Don Manuel de Jesus Ortiz, Los Luna’s foreman, that initially the estate farm was dedicated to growing roses with coffee (planted between 500 and 1000 trees per year of Arabica coffee by the method "ESCOBA" and "ESTACA") another portion of blocks was devoted to pasture. Later in September 1975, the estate farm was purchased by Jose Tomas Calderon Sol and his brothers in law the Giner Gonzalez family, renaming it “Bello Horizonte”, naming Mr. Braulio Narvaez as property manager, son of Don Manuel de Jesus Ortiz.

in 1987 he bought 17 blocks more continuing the process of planting coffee. Currently the property is 100% dedicated to the planting and harvesting of coffee, Bourbón varieties and 10% between Arabica, Pacas and Pacamara all under shade, having introduced differents shade trees as avocado, allspice and pepeto. Old coffee trees in the state farm includes Cedar, Tatascame, Mezcal, Guachipilin, Trompillo, Rajabien, Colpachi, Agucatillo, all these, old species we keep carefully.
