Description
KOAKAKA (in Kinyarwanda stands for the cooperative of coffee farmers of Karaba district).
The cooperative was established in 2003 grouping different coffee farmers from 3 sectors (Kinyamakara, Karama and Ruhondo) that now form the district of Karaba.
It’s head office is located in Cyanika in Nyamagabe District.
KOAKAKA accounts for 1316 members and only 296 are women.
Beside the KOAKAKA Karambi cws which was established in 2003, they have extended their business in Huye District as they were growing they also wanted to cover their whole producing areas that extend from Nyamagabe to Huye Districts where KOAKAKA Muganza was constructed and started in 2005

Sustainability in both domestic and international markets for the customers.
We have been certified Fair Trade.
We have been improving the quality of our coffee thus being able to win the Cup of Excellence competition since 2007 (golden cup), 2008,2010,2011 and 2013.
We received the certificate of good governance from RCA (Rwanda Cooperatives Agency) through the audit done on 2012.
We have the good culture of working by banks while improving our development where we take a loan of around 300,000,000 Rwf and we repay that amount with the interest of 14% without any problem.
Marketing (strategy and program)
Our marketing is done through: Website, E-mail and media for both domestic and international (Europe, Japan, America and England) markets in collaboration with RWASHOSCCO Ltd (Rwanda Small Holders Society Cooperative) and NAEB (National Agricultural Export Development Board).
Coffee compain program starts in January to July every year where we begin harvesting coffee in our washing stations and storing coffee in warehouses.
