Description

Dely Suyapa is enterprising, persevering and mother of six. As a child, she accompanied his father to pick coffee for other people, climbed trees and dreamed of the day when she would have her own farm. Despite that fate, she did take care of a family from a young age, never abandoned her dream, and together with her young husband began to strive and work for their dream.

Times were not good and after many economic failures, her husband was forced to immigrate for a year to United States to work and generate savings that allows them to buy and plant a farm. Despite how hard the absence of her husband and six children to raise alone, Dely Suyapa not fainted and managed to prepare a nursery of 10 000 coffee plants of the variety Catuai with the firm idea that the return of her husband could start their own farm.

Dely Suyapa combines the work of a housewife and the work of her coffee farm participating in all maintenance activities, tries where possible to use fewer chemical fertilizers using coffee pulp as compost for farming. The coffee picking is supervised and conducted in person by her, time that takes to continue to dream of the future and as a child.

This is the first year that involved individually, in 2014 she helped her husband to prepare a lot of coffee to participate in COE and earning fourth place, following this success, now they and the other producers of Pozo Negro have been visited for Japanese buyers and they expect further improvement to prepare a high quality coffee.
