Description

Moises, as everyone knows, is originally from Guatemala and never imagine living in Honduras , came many years ago for work and soon found his two loves: his wife and coffee. Now he is passionate about coffee that works full time on his farm Amazons of 7 hectares planted of coffee of the variety Catuai, his estate is the community of La Piedrona, municipality of Chinacla in the department of La Paz to height 1580 meters above sea level.

Moises says that at first people called him crazy for wanting to grow coffee on the land and despite reseeding up to 6 times his determination and perseverance resulted in the production of an excellent coffee. The support and advice of the technicians of IHCAFE, have contributed to the farm development and adoption of knowledge that today possesses.

He bases his farm management in nutrition because it performs four granular fertilizations per year, use of organic matter and two foliar fertilization, also applies pruning and tissue management and, if necessary, controls rust with fungicides, all this management is the basis for ensuring an excellent cup.

Moises has experience in the COE event and has held good positions, with the support of his wife and two children he confesses passionate coffee, which has enabled it to help countless people in the community including people who work with him; recently he helped an employee to fulfill his dream of building his own house.
