NAME AND LOCATION OF THE FARM:
The farm "LA ESPERANZA" is located in the municipality of Mozonte, Nueva Segovia, community Los Arados, at an average altitude of 1,600 m.o.s.l.

TELL US THE FARM HISTORY:
This property was acquired through a family inheritance, for 25 years, with an area of 32 manzanas of land to coffee and 160 acres of nature reserve with different species of trees, flora, fauna and water springs (portion of rio mozonte) bearing as annual harvest an average of 200 QQ of green coffee varieties red catuai. In the farm are also other crops growing as oranges, avocados and orchards

FAMILY GENERATIONS:
Farm La Esperanza belongs to the family from 60 years ago, generation to generation, being part of the family sustainability. The total members of my family are 5 people Manuel de Jesus Lopez my dad, Maria de Jesus Pastrana my mom, my wife Maria Teresa, Yony Osman Lopez my son and I

WHICH IS YOUR SECRET FOR WINNING THE COMPETITION?
I think part of the dedication, effort together with my family and team work experience in good grain handling and quality and we have been consistent for many years.

HOW DO YOU FEEL OF BEEN ONE OF THE WINNERS?
Very happy and grateful with God and with team work and now "The Mill Las Segovias" because without good care of this grain not been possible to get a place in the competition.

IN WHAT YOU WILL BE INVESTING PROFIT TO BE OBTAINED FROM ELECTRONIC AUCTION?
Improve infrastructure of the wet mill and give a better service to the farm, because that has been a part of my goals, also gain obtained part of this money will be for the social work of a community in the area where this located farm.

HAVE YOU PARTICIPATED IN THE COMPETITION BEFORE? HAVE YOU WON PREVIOUSLY?
Yes, last year I got the position 11.
The experience gained in previous years in which I placed as a finalist in the penultimate round, they have prompted me more and better strive to expand the farm, therefore quality. This year was better and I won 4th place.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE CUP OF EXCELLENCE PROGRAM?
It is an opportunity for profit, improve quality and achieve economic development for the family.
