NAME AND LOCATION OF THE FARM:
Farm El Recuerdo is located in Cerro el Pinabate, banks of La Soledad in Mozonte at a height of 1,700 mosl, allowing it to have a cool weather, has a good panoramic view.

TELL US THE FARM HISTORY:
I have three years of owning the property, this has an area of 18 manzanas of land*, including 5 manzanas of land which produce 40 QQ of green coffee, among red varieties Caturra, Red Catuaí, Bourbón, Arabica and also we plant citrus fruits like oranges, bananas and others.

FAMILY GENERATIONS:
These lands have 40 years of being in my family and the work of the same involves the whole family we are four members, my wife and my two children.

WHICH IS YOUR SECRET FOR WINNING THE COMPETITION?
I have endeavored to give a good semi-technified management, not machines use or chemical products, we select our coffee during cutting, and once when we are washing, like a good drying is given in Atecate Mill El Coco.

HOW DO YOU FEEL OF BEEN ONE OF THE WINNERS?
I feel excited and satisfied first place by winning because I know my effort is a positive achievement and this encourages me to improve every day to produce specialty coffee.

IN WHAT YOU WILL BE INVESTING PROFIT TO BE OBTAINED FROM ELECTRONIC AUCTION?
Part of this money will be invest on the farm to give best conditions and care workers and get a better place in future participation in the Cup of Excellence

HAVE YOU PARTICIPATED IN THE COMPETITION BEFORE? HAVE YOU WON PREVIOUSLY?
Yes, I participated in the 2013-2014 crop, achieving one of the national winners 2014, this motivated me to improve the quality of my coffee, making a cut and suitable selection and this year I could win.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE CUP OF EXCELLENCE PROGRAM?
It is one of the opportunities and way of motivating the producer to continue producing better quality and thus sell at a better price and more and more and above all improve ourselves known internationally.
