COOPAC- Kirorero CWS one of the Coffee Washing Station owned by COOPAC Company,  it works with local cooperatives in the region in order to reach 2381 coffee farmers in addition beside coffee business it also is engaged in social impact activities such as, building of classrooms in Bugarura Primary school, donation of cows and bicycles to the best performer farmers. COOPAC also in partnership with Heidi Morgan of Equal World Coffee, built a nursery school in Boneza Sector and improved water supply in Rutsiro District by channeling water into central collection points. COOPAC Kirorero is certified Rainforest Alliance, FairTrade USA and we are in process of acquiring UTZ certificate.

Production and Quality Processes

Coffee beans are strictly high grown by using good agriculture practices, soils is very rich in nutrients, the coffee crop is shade grown under structurally and floristically diverse shade covers while applying only organic fertilizers and less harmful alternatives to pesticides and fungicides. Both these organic practices of using organic fertilizers and planting shade tree go along way in providing not only the necessary plant nutrition but also assist in providing the complex nutrient balance of our coffee fields.
