Description

Near the year 1949 my grandfather Isaías Gómez Gómez, bought his first coffee farm, FINCA EL CENTRO. The property counts with an extension of 21 hectares and is located in Getsemaní of San Rafael of Heredia, Costa Rica . Only half was planted with coffee and Mr. Isaías, along with his workers, planted the other half of the estate putting in each coffee plant great enthusiasm and hope of having then best harvests. His passion for coffee started growing and in the coming years he continued to buy more farms and planted this precious bean.

In 1975, my grandfather Isaías died and the estate was inherited by 4 of his 11 children; Lucia, Rosalia, Rodrigo and my father Antonio Gomez Zamora; they continued to work the farm with great care and passion. In 1985 my father Antonio died and I, Isaías Gomez Viquez, inherited this fourth part of the estate. Together with my wife, Beatriz Chaves Zamora, we decided to continue the legacy and we bought the land from the other brothers Gomez Zamora and now owned 100% of the farm.

With great passion my wife, my children and me have been renewing the farm with exotic varieties such as Bourb—n, Villa Sarchí, Gesha and SL 28. This year Finca El Centro was rewarded by ACE as the 20th best coffee in Costa Rica , which presents a sweet taste of fruit and a fine balanced cup, which dazzles the senses to the palate. This is why our passion for coffee grows day by day from generation to generation and it is through this auction we invite our friends to enjoy the flavors of our coffee.

In each coffee bean we honor our ancestors with our soul, life and heart.
