Description
Sítio Posses has belonged to José Edvaldo Pinto since 2010, when he acquired the farms and decided to invest in coffee production. Edvaldo grew up watching his father grow coffee at Sítio Fagundes, where the two of them have coffee crops. The varieties planted are Yellow Bourbn and Red Catuaí. Coffee is the family’s main source of income.
The farm is in the city of Pedralva, in the Mantiqueira de Minas region at an elevation of about 1200 meters. This region presents excellent conditions for coffee growing, such as fertile soil, well-defined seasons and high elevation.
The harvest is done manually. The coffee is taken directly for drying on the patio under the sun. The drying process is completed in the mechanical dryer.
The property is part of the area that has the Mantiqueira de Minas Indication of Origin seal, which guarantees the origin and traceability of the lot.
