Originally this farm was part of the Farm La Planada that won this year the place number 5 in Cup of Excellence. Ana María Barrantes, sister of Toño Barrantes, inherited it in 1999. It is 3-hectare farm with coffee varieties planted such like Villa Sarchi and improved Typica. This last one is very sweet and has floral notes.

The products used for assistance are green band. The ground is veneered to remove weeds.
The farm has this name La Torre that means "The Tower" because few towers of electric lines cross the coffee plantation.
