Rio Arriba is located in the municipality of Palencia, department of Guatemala . Just 50 km from the city. It has a total area of 100 ha, of which 40 ha are dedicated to the cultivation of coffee; The rest of the estate are natural forests of pine, cypress, and oak. The coffee plantation was established between the years 2004 and 2008. The coffee varieties that are grown in Rio Arriba are Caturra and Bourbón. It has the characteristic that the trees of shade are trees that grow in the zone, with which we have managed to maintain the biodiversity of the zone, creating a very particular microclimate. The average temperature is 24 degrees Celsius and has an annual precipitation of 1800 mm. The harvest season is from January to April and the average annual production of the farm is 500 qq parchment.

The shadow for those varieties are trees that grown in the zone, it helps us to maintain the biodiversity, at the same time, this shadow creates a very particular microclimate.
