Description
The farm was bought by don Florencio Modesto Argueta Villatoro, the 23rd of March of 1954 from the municipality of San Pedro Necta, Huehuetenango. Its first plantations were from varieties like Typica and Bourbón. After don Modesto passed away in 1978, the second generation of the family took charge of managing the farm. When the farm was divided in 2000, Erwin Modesto Argueta Figueroa decided to incorporate new coffee varieties planting caturra, maragogype and green pache. When he passed away in 2004, the farm’s administration was transferred to his son and third generation of coffee growers Erwin Humberto Argueta Herrera who gave it the name Bella Elizabeth in honor of his daughter Ana Elizabeth.
