Description

History of the farm

Producer Reinaldo Garcia dos Santos, 41, comes from an agricultural family. His grandparents worked on the farm, producing brown sugar and flour. His father continued the agricultural work and, over time, awakened to coffee. He and his brothers grew up watching their father work with coffee on the farm.Reinaldo lived on the farm until he was 19, when he moved to the city, worked in a store and studied business. But his passion was the farm. Four years ago, his father was considering selling the farm. He invited Reinaldo to take over the property, he accepted the challenge and returned there with his family. Reinaldo’s interest in quality coffees arose the moment he was invited to work at a specialty coffee company. He learned to cup and he saw that within his farm nature favored him. What was lacking was his dedication. He traveled in search of knowledge and invested in the farm and in labor.Today the farm uses familial agriculture. The family believes in and dedicates their days in search of good results, always trying to bring the quality from the fields to the consumer’s table
