Name of the farm: Pocitos
Location: It is located in the Municipality of Ixhuacan de los Reyes (in the State of Veracruz).
The coordinates of the farm are the following: 19 ° 19'55 '' N 97 ° 01'58''W
Variety:
• Typical Native of Ethiopia of tall stature and long internodes, bronze terminal leaves (light brown). This variety is called Creole, highly susceptible to Roya del Cafeto (Hemileia Vastatrix).
• Sarchimor. The variety is generated from the Villa Sarchí crossing by the Hybrid of Timor 2 (CIFC 832/2). They are plants of low bearing, bud green or bronze or both according to the line, vigor and high production, studies of cup in high zones indicate an excellent organoleptic quality.

Current certifications: Currently there are no valid certifications, only the certification to obtain the verification seal C.A.F.É Practices is in process.

In the presence of the Roya del Cafeto (Hemileia Vastatrix) in 2014-2015, a large part of the municipality of Cosautlán de Carvajal and Ixhuacán de los Reyes were severely affected, reducing their production by up to 80%, resulting in financial problems to make coffee production profitable.

For this reason, the decision was made to implement new and better production techniques that include: the introduction of new varieties of coffee in the area, an adequate management of fertilization, control, pest management and diseases such as Roya del Cafeto ( Hemileia Vastatrix) to guarantee the sustainability of the crop.

The Farm Pocitos is located in the so-called "golden strip" of good coffee: Coatepec, Xico, Cosautlán, Ixhuacán de los Reyes, Totutla, Huatusco, Ixhuatlán coffee and Cordoba. Sown for the first time in 2015 with varieties: 30% Costa Rica 95, 25% F1 Hybrids, 15% Aztec Gold, 15% Typical, and 15% Sarchimor.

Lic. Jesus Carlos Cadena Valdivia, belonging to a family that for more than 60 years has been dedicated to the production and cultivation of coffee, is the one in charge of the management and administration of the farm, supported by the Ing. Benito López Mendoza who is responsible for implementing jointly, new and better ways to preserve the coffee growing in the region, with new models in the form of producing a good coffee, combining excellent production without sacrificing the organoleptic qualities, thus maintaining an excellent quality.

Farm Pocitos a relatively young estate, they begin their first firm and promising steps with excellent quality of the product obtained, giving a twist to the traditional vision of the crop trying to look for specific markets that aim to obtain specialty coffees, allowing to expand the expectations of making profitable the coffee production of the region and continue with the wide trajectory of the culture of the coffee.
