Description
The story of Finca Los Morales began long before the first coffee tree was planted. It was born from family
memories, stories passed down from a father, and a deep desire to return to the land that once had to be left
behind.
During El Salvador’s civil war, the Morales family was forced to abandon their land and start a new life in the
city of Metapán. Yet the memories of those mountains never faded. They remained alive in the hearts of the
next generation, who grew up dreaming of one day returning to the place that had shaped their family’s
history.
Years later, through hard work, perseverance, and faith, that dream began to take shape. What started as a
desire to reclaim a family legacy evolved into a much greater vision: creating opportunities for rural
communities and generating dignified employment.
At the heart of this vision is Milton Morales, whose years of dedication, learning, and passion have been driven
by a constant pursuit of excellence. From the very beginning, he understood that producing exceptional coffee
requires far more than fertile land; it demands discipline, innovation, careful observation, and continuous
improvement at every stage of production.
For Milton, excellence is not a destination reached once, but an ongoing pursuit. This philosophy drives Finca
Los Morales to continuously explore new coffee varieties, refine processing methods, incorporate new
knowledge, and develop practices that fully express the unique potential of its terroir. Every harvest represents
a new opportunity to learn, innovate, and surpass previous achievements.
The farm is located at elevations ranging from 1,800 to 1,900 meters above sea level in the
Alotepeque–Metapán Mountain Range, one of the highest coffee-growing regions in El Salvador. Its privileged
location, neighboring the Montecristo Cloud Forest, provides an exceptional terroir where altitude, cool
temperatures, organic-rich soils, constant humidity, and natural shade create ideal conditions for producing
coffees of remarkable quality.
Each sunrise over these mountains serves as a reminder of both the privilege and responsibility of cultivating
coffee in such an extraordinary environment. Surrounded by native forests, year-round mist, and abundant
biodiversity, the farm operates with the conviction that respect for the land is the foundation of truly
exceptional coffee.
Today, Finca Los Morales encompasses 45 manzanas of land, with more than 14 manzanas currently dedicated
to coffee cultivation. The farm features carefully selected varieties, including Geisha and Pacamara, alongside
promising cultivars such as Sidra, Mocca, and Pink Bourbon.
The commitment of Finca Los Morales extends beyond simply producing coffee—it is about producing coffee
with excellence. Every decision, from varietal selection to harvesting, processing, and drying, is guided by the
pursuit of the highest possible quality. The farm firmly believes that outstanding coffees are born from
attention to the smallest details and profound respect for the people whose work makes them possible.
Beyond coffee production, Finca Los Morales serves as a source of development for surrounding communities.
A significant portion of its workforce comes from Honduritas and neighboring areas, creating employment
opportunities, strengthening the local economy, and contributing to the well-being of many families. As the
farm has grown, so too has its positive impact on the community.
Today, Finca Los Morales is much more than a coffee farm. It is the fulfillment of a family dream and the
continuation of a father’s legacy.
With the same passion that inspired its beginnings, Finca Los Morales continues to carry a piece of Metapán
and El Salvador into every cup enjoyed around the world. Because great things are meant to be shared, and
every coffee bean tells a story worth telling.
