Description

The Pacas family has worked the soils of Finca La Esperanza since November 2010. It is a large farm located in Canton El Porvenir, Municipality of Chalchuapa, Santa Ana, which produces exceptional coffees.

The Pacas family has been involved in the coffee business for 5 generations. Currently, 3 family members work actively in the company, Juan Alfredo Pacas serving as Director of Production; Maria Pacas as Marketing Director and Marcela Pacas as HR and CSR Director.

Finca La Esperanza begins at 1,100 masl and ends at 1,700 masl. It has fairways in good condition.

In 2012, the Pacas Family made the decision to completely renovate Finca La Esperanza. In making this decision, the opportunity was taken to plant it using different varieties. Currently a high percentage of the area has been re-seeded, using the following varieties: PACAS, RED BOURBON, ORANGE BOURBON, PACAMARA, KENYA, MOKKA, BERNARDINA Y HEIRLOOM.

Due to its location (Northwest region), Finca la Esperanza has a privileged climate, since it is not affected by strong winds. The following reasons make Finca La Esperanza a very special place:
1. The diversity of varieties sown.
2. The diversity in the cup profile of the varieties.
3. The biodiversity of the farm (it has a wide range of shade trees).
4. Its great height and beautiful views.
5. The commitment and work of the mandator and his work team.

Finca La Esperanza provides work for more than 100 people from the surrounding communities.

As social projects, Café Pacas organizes a total wellness program for all the people who work in the company. This program is aimed at contributing to the socio-emotional well-being of our employees. Different workshops are offered in which people can learn mechanisms to raise their self-esteem, conflict resolution, addictions, etc. Additionally, they are provided with a clinical psychology that supports them in cases that require specific therapies.

Every year, Café Pacas carries out a visual health campaign in which it helps people who have vision problems.
