Description
Maria Jesus Lontero is the owner of Finca Las Flores, located in Santa Bárbara, at an altitude of 1700 meters, in 2009 it was bought and then, they continue expending the coffee farm with her family.
Currently they have cultivated different varieties of coffee such as Catimore, Lempira, Parainema, Geisha and Catuai
12 people permanently collaborate on the farm; and in during coffee harvest time around 25 to 30 people
They implement natural resources conservation practices, such as protection of the surrounding forests, protection of water sources, they do reforestation with timber, fruit and ornamental trees and a proper management of coffee processing wastewater in an oxidation pond to use it as a fertilizer of the farm.
Cup of Excellence is a window of great opportunities to make ourselves known and to be able to sell coffee at a good price.
