My name is Fatima Mercedes Maradiaga, I am the owner of Finca "La Reina". To participate in Cup of Excellence 2023 I chose Geisha variety and carefully follow all recommendations from IHCAFE technicians to maintain quality, I start with the coffee harvest, picking just the ripe fruit and continue all the way along to the milling and drying process. Many years ago, my parents in law, started working in this coffee plantation were they invest a great deal of their lives. Time after that, my husband and I continue working and improving this coffee plantation to achieve what we have reached so far. It´s my second time participating in the Cup of Excellence and I feel very grateful with God for this opportunity that he has given to me. It has been a wonderful, spectacular and incredible experience, one of my greatest expectations is to reach good prices for our coffees and be able to get in new coffee markets. I´m determined to continue participating and improve my farm! This is a dream not only for me, but my whole family
