"History of the farm
Mitsuo and Fumie Nakao came to the Cerrado Mineiro more than 30 years ago, with the dream of developing agriculture in the region. At the time, coffee growing was still not very common in the Cerrado Mineiro, making them among the pioneers in the region.
Like all pioneers in any area, they needed much dedication and perseverance, something they had in the blood, the children of immigrants who came in search of a dream. Those who know them remember the skills of ""Sr. Mitu"" in the coffee fields and the strictness in processing of ""Dona Laura.""
Today the 3MC Nakao group is led by Mitsuo and Fumie’s children, the third generation of producers in the family. They bring in their blood and soul all the energy of their ancestors, honoring them and continuing the family dream.
Marie acts with the same vision and attention to processes as her parents, developing work with a focus on quality and overseeing the entire production chain with care. She also follows the social and environmental demands of enterprise, maintaining a harmonious relationship with the community.
Alfredo handles contact with the market and is always attentive to new market trends. He accompanies clients’ needs, ensuring the delivery of excellent quality.
Claudia uses her capacity to control to help monitor the company’s guidelines, always seeking good practices to guarantee excellence.
This combination of competencies gives the group, day after day, “more luck.”
Coffee processing system
The coffee was processed in the wet method. After the harvest, it was taken to the washer where it was washed and pulped. Then it was spread on an asphalt patio for drying where it remained until reaching the ideal humidity. Finally it was processed and taken to the warehouse.
Concern about quality
The concern about quality has always been present on the farm, since the times of “Seu Mitu” and “Dona Laura,” care for how the coffee is treated, processing and warehousing in the best possible manner, are all priorities."
