Cup of Excellence
The name "El Muñeco" comes from Max's wife, Claudia, who affectionately calls him that since they were dating.
Max being the fourth generation of coffee growers in the Huehuetenango region, at 25 years old he graduated as a lawyer and married Claudia, his college classmate, that same year.
It took him only two months to understand that his passion was coffee and despite his parents' advice on how to dedicate themselves to their profession, Max always asked Claudia to trust that they should dedicate themselves to coffee; And so they did, the two combined their energy and skills to build step by step on a path full of vicissitudes, learning and dreams to Finca La Hermosa, a company that today transcends as a family vision that began with the faith of Max, Claudia's ideal support and a great blessing that is reflected in: Each person who, with the valuable work of their hands, has cultivated this land; The people who received them at Aldea Los Planes, where they were foreigners; And of course the buyers who are now friends and applaud the effort and growth of this farm.
Now, eleven years later, Claudia decided to name this farm in honor of her husband and what she has witnessed and that makes her applaud today the resilient leader that He is.
A resilient leader is one who, despite crises, does not lose faith and with hard work and resistance manages to face risks in order to create opportunities, overcome challenges, overcome disappointments and with intelligence and honesty manages to get ahead transformed, strengthened.
