My name is Johel Monge Naranjo, and together with Matias, my son, we work on the Hacienda San Isidro Labrador Project. We are very happy to have obtain the second place in Cup of Excellence in the Experimental category. Our farm is located on the hills of Dota, in the Tarrazu region, at an elevation of 1950 m.a.s.l.
Hacienda San Isidro Labrador is a family business that started 9 years ago and this is the fifth year that we have participated in Cup of Excellence as Hacienda San Isidro Labrador Micro mill. We focus on the production of specialty coffee and we are pleased to be a part of Cup of Excellence, as it has allowed us to show ourselves and share our coffee with roasters and consumers who value quality, hard work and the traceability of our coffee.
Years ago, we participated as part of Grupo Los Grandes de Copey and happily obtained 1st place in COE 2017, 2nd place COE 2018, 1st and 3th places in COE 2019; 2nd place in 2022, and last year again, the 1st place with Finca El Cedro.
