Description

My name is Enung Sumartini, 46 years old with a daughter (21 years old) and a son (16 years old). I was born from a family of farmers located at the highest mountain foot in Garut, Cikuray Mountain (2.813 m.dpl) West Java and the fifth daughter of 6 siblings.
Moved by how my late parents worked every morning to nurture and cultivate plants for our family daily needs, I realized how lush and rich our Garut is, and their potential for all the commodities out there.
After finishing college in Bandung,together with my husband, we went back to our village and started a small business by the name PD. Mahkota Java Coffee (2010) and created a farmer collective (2015) by the name Kasuga (Kopi Asli Urang Garut) which moves in Arabica coffee plantation and processing and therefore held great potential in Garut lands. I also own an Arabica coffee farm located at Papandayan mountain range, Garut, with an altitude of 1.600 mdpl.
After restlessly learning and practicing how to cultivate specialty grade Arabica coffee from a coffee expert in Bandung, I am grateful for the Cup of Excellence Indonesia 2021 to choose my coffee to international level.
I thank God and all the people who supported this achievement and to Garut’s volcanic fertile land for making this possible.
High quality and consistency, customer is our focus, honest cooperation and mutual respect, sustainable development is our way to stand in this coffee world.
The coffee plantation was cultivated by vegetable farmers and then taken over by me in 2010 with compensation to further cultivate it as coffee plantation with different variety, such as Lini S, Sigararutang dan Yellow Bourbon
