Description
History
I used to live in Bogota, I was working there in different areas. But in 2000 my father invited me to work in the farm, so that was my beginning working in the coffee business. Now I live in the farm with my wife and my son of 11 and my daughter of 8 years old. My children are now studying but they also help me with the farm work in their free time. The farm is owned by my father, but hopefully I will buy in a nearly future.
Environmental Care
The most important areas in the farm are the ones where the water borns from the earth. So I plant native species in the area to preserve the 2 natural sources we have in the farm. One of this native species is the Bore, which is very helpful for keeping the water sources in good conditions.
Coffee Processing Information
Thanks to the climate and altitude of the farm, I dont have big troubles with the broca, but even that, I have cultural control permanently. I only pick red cherries, the wet milling process I do in the farm is the traditional one.
