Overview

The Rainha Farm belongs to Sertaozinho Farm LTDA, whose symbol is a tree (Jequitiba Rosa), which is 1500 years old. It has 280 hectares of coffee from which 200 are Yellow Bourbón. All the employees live on the own farm, avoiding the hiring of temporary workers. Recently, a second branch of the computing school Pedro Rosa was built. Our environmental policy is based on integrate the coffee production and the environment preservation. Processing system of the coffee beans The coffee beans are harvested by hand, over a cloth, to avoid the contact with the soil. After that, the coffee berries are pulped and spread on patios to be dried. This process is done until it reaches 11% of humidity. Then, when the drying is completed, the coffee is kept in wood storehouses. Concern on the quality Sertaozinho Farm LTDA has the system of quality ISO 9001:2000, since 2001. In 2008, Rainha Farm introduced the system of socio-environment management UTZ KAPEH. Jose Renato G. Dias, an agronomist that is specialized in coffee plantation is the general manager of the farm. Rainha Farm was a finalist in the Contest Cup of Excellence in 2000, 2001, 2005 and 2006.
