The San Rafael farm located in the town of Pacho Viejo, Veracruz, has belonged to the Ramírez family for 25 years. It has an area of ​​1 hectar and for 23 years a sustainable cultivation system has been applied focused on the production of high quality coffee, the adaptation in the region of different varieties of coffee plants such as Bourbon, Typica has also been explored , Oro Azteca, Mundo Novo and Costa Rica, as well as cultivation techniques that are subsequently replicated in other family farms, La Roca, La Cruz, El Manantial and Coatl-tepetl. It should be mentioned that all are nourish with vermicompost, which is produced next to the property established as a farm where it is also counted as a seedbed, plant and wet and dry benefit. At the San Rafael farm, it has been possible to standardize the cultivation of the Costa Rica and Typica varieties with an approximate production of 20 bags of green coffee, processed by the method of washing and drying in the yard, of which this year 15 bags of specialty coffee, destined to compete in the Mexico Cup of Excellence Contest 2019, reaching seventh place international with a score of 89.64.
