24 FINCA CONSOLAPAN Mexico 2023

We are FINCA CONSOLAPAN, a family business with the mission of producing coffee of the highest quality for more than 3 generations.
The farm is located in the municipality of Coatepec, in the town of Consolapan and works as a recharge for the aquifers that feed the Consolapan River on the northeast side, on the road from Xalapa to Coatepec via the "Briones" road.
It is a coffee plantation grown under medium shade; with a rainfall of 2000 mma and located at 1260 masl, its geographical coordinates are 19°28'47.1"N 96°56'33.1"W.
The farm in general has components of mountain cloud forest and cloud forest. The tree layer is diverse with different altitudes up to 25 meters.
The main varieties of coffee grown are Typica, Caturra, Garnica and Marseillaise. The natural shade is given by Chalahuite, jinicuil, dribilea, higuera, oak, among others.

Our work team is made up of 8 permanent workers and at harvest times more than 30 are hired, including men and women of different ages; employing workers in the area. Minors are not allowed to work.
The cup profile in washed type coffee is:
Body: Medium, Balanced
Sweetness: soft caramel
Notes : Walnut, Vanilla
Acidity: Citric between Lime and subtle Grapefruit
Aftertaste: Seeds, Chocolate

2014 First place in "Mexico Special Selection 2014" organized by Café Imports
2019 Eighth place in "Cup of Excellence Mexico 2019" with a score of 89.63.
