Description
At the beginning of 2009 he began to enter the valleys of Esquilaya from the province of Moho in the department of Puno. Adán is of Aymara origin, he only lives with his wife, he has no children. We tell his brief story about the coffee path, Adán entered the valleys of Esquilaya, he is of Quechua-speaking origin, the inhabitants of those valleys in 2010 began with the activity of being able to carry out sackings to install the first coffee plants in those years. The transport of coffee was on mules and walks of more than 6 hours, so they were able to carry out their arrangements for the penetration of the road into the valleys of Esquilaya and thanks to the support of Agrorural, Cecovasa and the municipality of Ayapata where they have installed a communal nursery. Esquilaya farm is located at 1850 meters above sea level, places where there is a greater concentration of fog from which they began to produce seedlings such as the varieties of red caturra and yellow caturra, in 2014 they began with the bourbon varieties and thus forming a center of coffee associations and agroindustrial of the Esquilaya – Carabaya valley. And in that year he managed to win the international contest for roasted coffee of AVPA FRANCE origin, Adán is a member of the association and leader. In this year, 2023, he enters for the first time in its history in a competition with more than 330 producers nationwide in the VII national Cup of Excellence competition and qualifying for the international stage. Adán thanks the Provincial Municipality of Carabaya for the hard field work and that today the results are being given.
