The Mora Aguilar family has a beautiful farm in the mountains of Providencia de Dota. Deily is an agronomist and is dedicated on studying specialty coffee, with her support the family has worked hard to maintain the traditional costarican coffee business, thru generations of coffee producers and nowadays focusing on producing high quality coffees.
The Geisha variety has been cultivated on the Providencia community for over 60 years and in this specific farm and it was brought by the first habitants that came to this beautiful place. This coffee is cultivated under sustainable agronomical practices; using bio supplies, associated species, shade, manual control of “arvenses” and special care of the soil nutrients.
This specific lot was harvested and delicately processed by the Mora Aguilar family to ensure the exclusive harvest of the cherry on its optimum mature stage, after the fermentation process and depulping, the coffee was sun dried very slowly on African beds. This handcrafted process allow the coffee to develop extraordinary flavors that are express on a very delicate and subtle way.
Our family seeks not only a sustainable model, but also a regenerative one, that helps to highlight the bean quality and also manage, in a proper way, the natural resources needed to achieve this.
