Description
Fredesvinda Vásquez Romero, 67 years old, was born in Celendín – Cajamarca and lives with her husband José Secundino Cubas Dávila, 65 years old. They currently have 05 children, all of them of legal age.
Her coffee farm is located in the village of El Nogal - Jaén at 1,800 meters above sea level and the name of the farm is El Zapote, this is because she has this tree among her plantations. It has an extension of 05 hectares of coffee production and 05 that are forest. Fredesvinda says that coffee production is her main source of income.
Fredesvinda began producing coffee in the 1970s where the first plantations were of the typical variety and which today still survive despite the different pests. Currently, with her husband, she has a family farm as an alternative source of income for her economic resources. They cultivate the varieties of Catuay, Costa Rica, Típica and Caturra. These varieties of coffee are very good in cup quality. Coffee production has been an important part of his life. She loves coffee and drinks it daily. In addition, he grows vegetables and fruits. It is also dedicated to raising guinea pigs and chickens.
