Description
This individual began their journey in coffee production from a young age, working on farms in the region as a laborer and, at times, as a farm manager. It was 26 years ago when they acquired their own farm and started their own coffee production.
Approximately 12 years ago, they began producing specialty coffee on the La Siberia farm, and 6 years ago, they made the decision to cultivate the Geisha variety with the aim of improving the quality of the coffee in the cup. This effort has allowed them to achieve scores of 87.5 and 88 points in coffee cupping evaluations.
Over the last three years, they have participated in the Cup of Excellence competition with their Geisha variety coffee and have consistently ranked among the top performers.
What motivates them to produce specialty coffees?
Producing specialty coffees has led to an improved quality of life for themselves and their entire family. It has not only enhanced their economic well-being but has also led to improvements in every stage of their coffee production process. This includes offering better compensation to their workforce and building a strong team to carry out various activities.
Additionally, a key motivation is the recognition they have gained over time, reinforcing their dedication and passion for producing high-quality coffee.
