4 Geisha, 91.13 - Mexico 2022, Cup of Excellence

It is the second time I participate in COE Mexico, winning the 2nd position in 2021 and 4th position on 2022, both times winning presidential award. My family farm is in Nuevo San Luis, Ocozocoautla de Espinosa municipality at Chiapas state. Driven through my father's passion, me and my family started producing coffee and this is how we work it, with the support of the organization UNION DE EJIDOS Y COMUNIDADES SAN FERNANDO, S.P.R. DE R.I.,. in technical assistance and improvement of the capacities. Our farm produces the varietal Gesha, at an altitude of 1630 meters, protected with natural shade from trees such as Chalum, Caspirol, Oak, Cedar, Amate. In the farm we specialize in the cultivation of specialty coffee. It is Certified FairTrade and Organic (Certimex, JAS, NOP, LOOAA, NATURLAND, BIOSUISSE). The coffee from our farm has been improving since its first production 3 harvests ago. Each year we improve its production, working with select ripe coffee fruits, carbon maceration fermentation and drying in African beds. We cup our lots with the quality team of the Organization to verify quality. We also make activities like live barriers and application of organic inputs to conserve the soil of the farm.
