Description
My beginnings as a coffee farmer began when I returned from Lima, I went to visit my father two years after leaving my town called Chontali, my father harvested an average of 30 to 40 quintals of coffee, when I arrived I was surprised that That amount was not collected, it had dropped to 7 quintals per hectare, that's where I told him, father, let me, I want to manage your farms in another way! I focused on cup chafes or special coffees, that's where I went to the city from Jaén to look for a market, I found the company FALCON COFFEES that gives me the opportunity to sell my coffees, this year I sold 4 quintals of 86 cups, paying me S/700.00 per quintal, I was excited because in the local business I was S/350.00 soles per quintal of coffee. That's when my passion for specialty coffees began. In 2019, the FICAFE was held in Jaén, where I attended and after listening to several speakers speak about this beautiful grain that is coffee, it is where I became most interested in it and decided to make my variety farm to compete in the Cup of Excellence, this for me was a dream that now I see it close and well thank God I am blessed with life and what nature gives us.
