Finca "Quita Sueño" is located in Datanlí - El Diablo mountain range in Matagalpa department, in a microclimate of 2,000
mm of rain with average temperature of 18 ° C. The farm's soil is characterized by being clay-loam, and with abundant
organic matter.
Finca Quita Sueño has a total of 15 Has. The farm is under an agroforestry system, with tree species such as cedar,
mahogany, laurel and Platymiscium that provides a biological corridor for slots, toucans, parrots and several migratory
birds.
This farm uses biological control of coffee borer and rust, also incorporates compost made from coffee pulp + biochar and
plant leguminous cover ground to reduce use of herbicide and nitrogen fertilizers which also reduces carbon footprint.
Coffee cherry is processed in a Penagos wet mill with mechanical mucilage removal with minimal use of water and 100%
sundried on the patio for slow dry process.
Quita Sueño is RA certified, which ensures that collaborators receive wages according to law and the community receives
benefits as training for bird watching in order to enhance biodiversity conservation.
