Description
Located in the indigenous Tsou village of Tfuya in Alishan, Hunter Story Studio is a tranquil coffee farm founded by Voyu Poiconx (Pu, Chen-Sung), a modern Tsou hunter. In Tsou language, this place is called seofkonana, meaning “the place where game is prepared”—a site traditionally used for processing hunted animals. Today, it has been transformed into a space for sharing Tsou culture, forest wisdom, and a deep respect for nature.
At an elevation of 1,200 meters, the estate is cultivated as a “food forest,” where high-quality Alishan coffee grows alongside fruit trees and culturally significant native plants. This living landscape reflects the harmony between ecological stewardship and traditional ways of life. The farm’s philosophy is to “share a cup of hunter’s coffee,” inviting visitors to experience the Tsou worldview—grounded, mindful, and in rhythm with the land.
With a campsite on site, Hunter Story Studio offers travelers a chance to reconnect with nature and immerse themselves in the stories, silence, and spirit of the Alishan mountains.
